US Presidential Poll - 6th November 2012

Planetary positions (Nirayana) prevailing on Ash Wednesday :-

All good and bad effects - net result of all good and evil yogas operating on a horoscope - are passed on to individuals ONLY through 3 planets, namely Sun, Moon and Jupiter. For any good to materialise, at least one, two or all three of these, should be passing favourably in transit. This applies to Major Period and Sub-Period effects too.

• SUN traversing the 6th of MOON-sign passing with 4 favourable points in Ashta Varga.

           Defeat of enemies; success in endeavours; good health; incentive; enjoying new clothes; financial/agricultural gains.

• MOON traversing the 3rd of MOON-sign passing with 4 favourable points in Ashta Varga.

           Monetary gain; new clothes; incentive; courage; company of women.

• JUPITER traversing through the MOON-sign  passing with 4 favourable points in Ashta Varga.

           Displeasure of bosses/punishment from the Govt/King (Impeachment ?); disrespect; obstacles and impediments in 
           profession;  mentally indecisive; losses; troubles; change of place or transfer (leaving White House ?). 
           
           Certainly negative. However, Jupiter is the Bhagya Karaka (Significator for Prosperity) and in its own Major Period.  

           Jupiter is involved in causing Raja Yoga with Saturn and with Mercury in Guru Budha Yoga. Obama should be 

           in a position to tide over the turbulent times commencing about a year ahead of the Poll. 

          Jupiter, though debilitated in Rasi, occupies own Navamsa in Pisces with 7 points under Ashta Varga. Jupiter is conjunct Saturn (5 degrees from each other) and when Lord of 9th (Jupiter in this case) is in 10th, according to Maharshi Parashara, Raja Yoga will be enjoyed in the Major Period of such Lord of 9th. Moon's Sub-Period will be operating --- Moon is in Deep Exaltation and enjoying Jupiter's  5th house aspect --- hence, Obama's victory is a foregone conclusion.

• SATURN traversing the 6th of MOON-sign (Ruling Planet for President)

          Increased prosperity in the matter of finance and agricultural pursuits; increased happiness of relatives and respect from 

          them; happiness from women; acquisition/erection of a house;  lump sum  financial gains.

Looking at Ashta Varga Charts of individual planets in President's horoscope, the total  # of favourable points is 28 which is two more than what it was at the time of last Presidential Poll in 2008.

Overall, the balance tilts in favour of President Obama WINNING  a second term in Office subject of course to his choosing to contest the same.

As things stand today - after the Mid-Term Poll reverses - the conclusions drawn above may look a bit far-fetched. Power of Karmic Forces is such that it can transform the picture overnight. We will all be there to sing along with Aretha !
